What Is an Externally Owned Account (EOA)?

An externally owned account (EOA) is basically a type of account on the Ethereum network that’s controlled by a person using a private key. In other words, it’s the account you’d use to send transactions or manage your ether (ETH). Unlike smart contract accounts, which are controlled solely by code, EOAs are directly managed by people.

Types of Accounts on Ethereum

There are two main types of accounts on Ethereum:

Externally owned accounts (EOAs) – Controlled by users with a private key.

Contract accounts (CAs) – Managed by code or smart contracts. Operate without a private key.

Both EOAs and Contract Accounts can hold and transfer ETH. However, only EOAs can start transactions. Contract Accounts can’t do anything until they’re triggered by an EOA or by other smart contracts.

How EOAs Work

Every EOA is tied to two cryptographic keys: a private key and a public key. Your private key is what gives you control over your account—it’s used to sign transactions and proves that you’re the one authorizing them. The public key is used to generate your Ethereum address, which you can share with others so they can send you ETH.

Here’s a quick overview of what EOAs do:

Transactions: EOAs can send tokens to other accounts, interact with smart contracts, or call specific functions on the blockchain.

Gas Fees: Every transaction requires gas, which is paid in ETH. This gas goes to the miners or validators who process transactions.

Security: The security of an EOA all boils down to your private key. If someone else gets their hands on it, they can take control of your account.

I think they might try to communicate that they want to do 50bps more early next week. That would mean market need to price in 50bps which might lead to more upside early in the week.

If it does, that could also mean some short tem "sell the news" wednesday as they actually do the 50bps cut it seems like they might want to do.

That's basically the plan. Might long a weekend dip if we get a decent one.

$EURUSD short from 30 August explained. (+2.2R)

You see me talking alot about daily profiles and session profiles. This is very important for me, since this gives me simple criteria and rules which i can follow over and over again without overthinking and overanalyzing.

In this example we have one of my favourite daily profiles, which has 3 simple steps:
- 1: Asia consolidation --> 2: London reversal --> 3: New York continuation.

1: Asia consolidation:
You can see how price went sideways in the Asia range, this is what's needed for this daily profile. Another must have if you trade this profile, is that London must have taken out the Asia high for shorts, and Asia low for longs. If that is not the case, i will never trade a New York continuation. Simple as that. You will prevent many losses if you implement this simple but effective rule in your trading.

2: London reversal:
After London has taken out the Asia low/high we want to see it trade in a HTF key level, preferably in discount/premium too. In this case we traded into the HTF key level which was the H1 FVG. From here you want to see a reaction and displacement down if you're bearish, and a displacement up if you're bullish. When we trade this model we want to see London create the high/low of the day. There is a possibility to trade this London reversal too, but i prefer to execute the New York continuation, since i have more data if i execute in this session, and it suits my style better.
