📈 WHAT HAPPENED?

Last week, for bitcoin, we received a strong buyer's reaction from the resulting volume anomalies. By Monday evening, the price had already reached the important sell zone of $100,000-$103,000 (accumulated volumes). After that, we observed a correction for the first cryptocurrency.

💼 WHAT WILL HAPPEN: OR NOT?

Now Bitcoin has approached the buyers' zone interest in the range of $95,000-$93,000 (the zone of volume anomalies), from which it’s natural to expect a reaction. It’s worth noting that the price decline was accompanied by weak volatility and low volumes, which indicates a possible rebound.

We expect the development of a full-fledged upward movement. In the absence of growth, a test of the lower boundary of the global sideways trend is likely.

DeepSeek AI model: what is it and why it brought down the shares of IT giants

The Chinese startup DeepSeek has made a real breakthrough and introduced a new AI model - DeepSeek-R1. Let’s see how this event affected the markets 👇

The company spent only $6 million on the development of the AI model, which is less than the average annual salary of AI engineers in Silicon Valley and is only 2% of the cost of the nearest competitor company, OpenAI.

According to DeepSeek representatives, their model is not inferior to the latest version of OpenAI. At the same time:

• its source code is open and available to developers;
• the cost of processing one million tokens in ChatGPT reaches $2.5, while in DeepSeek it will cost $0.14;
• API access doesn’t require the use of a VPN.

The popularity of DeepSeek has caused a massive sell-off in AI stocks. The giants of the chip industry have been particularly affected: ASML's share price dropped by 9%, while Nvidia's dropped by 18%.

The "transparency" of the new AI model has called into question the expediency of investing in closed types of neural networks from OpenAI or Google. Now, large funds are likely to pay attention to projects that can offer competitive technologies at a lower cost.

No changes have been noticed in crypto assets related to artificial intelligence. But with bitcoin's dominance declining, the AI field may become one of the most sought-after investments in the altseason.

Last week, contrary to expectations, bitcoin broke out of the sideways trend, breaking through important sell zones.

In our daily analysis on our TradingView blog, we mentioned that after breaking through the upper boundary of the $102,700 sideways range, we’re highly likely to see an ATH test. This has already happened — bitcoin has updated the maximum.

💼 WHAT WILL HAPPEN: OR NOT?

Donald Trump's inauguration as president of the United States will take place today at 20:00 (GMT+3), so we should expect increased volatility.

Now it’s worth paying attention to the seller's activity at the maximum level: if it doesn’t appear, the movement will continue in the upward direction. If the outcome is reversed, we can get a fairly strong correction.

📈 WHAT HAPPENED?

Last week, for bitcoin, as expected, we captured liquidity from the lower boundary of the sideways range of $92,300 through a false breakdown and resumed the upward movement.

The growth wave didn't show a clear market dominance of buyers. We observed a manifestation of strength only once, when the buyer absorbed a strong selling bar and thereby formed a new local buying zone of $97,200-$96,200. The dominance of limit orders, on the contrary, is on the buyer's side.

Throughout the flat, we have a pattern of cumulative delta sell absorption: the delta updates its lows, but the price doesn't.

💼 WHAT WILL HAPPEN: OR NOT?

At the moment, we're close to the upper limit of the $100,000 sideways trend, and we're waiting for its test.

Above, we have a strong selling zone, from which we can get a reaction and return to the current range. The development of a full-fledged long-term movement towards ATH is possible, but only through retests.

For now, the priority is to continue the balance with a slight advantage in favor of the buyer.

WHAT HAPPENED?

At the beginning of last week, as expected, bitcoin resumed its upward movement. But already at the local maximum and round number of $100,000, before reaching the important selling zone, it rebounded and the price moved in a downward direction for the remaining days.

At the moment, a local lateral line with clear boundaries has been formed. A pattern of sideways sell absorption is forming along the delta.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN: OR NOT?

Each new minimum update on the last wave of decline is weak and ineffective, since volumes are not realized, but are accumulated. If a strong buyer appears, an earlier resumption of the upward movement is more likely than from the lower boundary of the sideways $92,300. But the main priority this week is to capture liquidity through a false breakdown and move to the upper boundary of the sideways trend.

Analyzing bitcoin on the daily timeframe, we noticed an additional volume buying zone of $90,600-$86,300, which can hold back the decline to $80,000 with an unfavorable outcome.

Over the past week, bitcoin has been correcting after another ATH update.

The upward movement was expected to resume, but the reaction from the buy zone didn’t occur properly. The reaction was received only from the $97,000-$94,200 zone.

💼 WHAT WILL HAPPEN: OR NOT?

At the moment, a reserve for a price reversal may be forming. Upon repeated retest of these marks, there is a buyer's activity in terms of delta and volume. The conservative point in the long run would be to capture liquidity through a false breakdown of the local minimum.

Above, we still have a strong sell zone, from which we’re likely to get a backlash in an upward movement.
With a true breakdown of the local minimum, we can get a move to $80,000, so be careful and follow risk management.

Last week was a landmark for the entire crypto community. Against the background of the announcement of the preliminary results of the US presidential election and the leadership of Donald Trump, bitcoin resumed its upward movement. It almost completely ignored all resistance zones and updated its ATH, adding more than 20%.

During the growth, an area with abnormal volume activity was formed, which cast doubt on further growth. But after a full-fledged positioning, it’s safe to say that this isn’t the end of the upward rally.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN: OR NOT?

There are practically no hints of a reversal or major fixations right now, so joining short positions is undesirable. The best outcome for us is a correction to a large support zone below, from which it’s possible to join the longs.

There are no sell zones above, because the market sees these marks for the first time. Pay attention to the round numbers $90,000, $100,000 — they’re the most likely to go into correction. Also, track the formation of extremely high volumes, they can provoke a stop and a price reversal.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Last week, growth continued and the ATH for bitcoin was almost reached. At the breakdown of the important $72,000 level, a large number of liquidations and volume anomalies appeared, which stopped the price and provoked a correction. We warned about it on Wednesday in our blog on TradingView.

As a result, the market followed a lower priority scenario and absorbed all of last week's growth.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN: OR NOT?

At the moment, we've bounced off the upper limit of the volume zone of $67,500-$66,800 (the maximum volume of the sideways), but we haven't yet observed a signal for a full-fledged reversal. Resistance zones are formed above, from which we're likely to receive another wave of sells.

A deeper filling of the support zone is expected this week. In the absence of a reaction, the decline will continue.

According to the concept of wave analysis, we are still in an uptrend, but the volume zones above call into question the scenario with a rapid recovery, so we are postponing the opening of long positions for the time being.

IMPORTANT DATES

The week promises to be interesting, several important events are ahead — the US presidential election and the publication of the decision on the interest rate of the US Federal Reserve. Increased volatility is possible ❗️

On October 31, 2008, on the eve of All Saints' Day, a person (or group of persons) under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto published a white paper of the world's first cryptocurrency.

The file consisted of only 9 pages and described the principle of operation of a peer-to-peer payment system. The bitcoin network itself actually started working only three months later. To date, the market capitalization of BTC has reached $1.43 trillion

Last week, as expected, we broke through the sloping line and started a downward movement. Only the strong volume zone of $66,000-$65,100 (volume reaction), which we noted, could stop it. After receiving a reaction from the buyer, bitcoin was trading sideways for the rest of the week.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN: OR NOT?

At the moment, we’re above the formed zone of maximum volumes of $67,500-$66,800. There is a high probability of testing the levels formed above.

The cumulative delta is also on the side of the "bulls", the same pattern of absorption of market sells by limit orders is noticed. We consider changing the scenario to a downward one only with a true breakdown of the local minimum of $65,250.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Last week, we saw a correction in bitcoin. The large buy zone of $62,600-$60,800 didn’t give any reaction, so the first cryptocurrency needed to capture liquidity from the local level of $59,850 to make a full-fledged reversal.

Now we’ve already overcome the sell zone of $61,800-$62,900 (the zone of accumulated volumes). It has become a mirror support zone for us, but with a slight displacement in volume. We also reached the next resistance level of ~$64,150 (volume protection level) and the $64,500 mark.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN: OR NOT?

According to the current marks, anomalies in the delta with a preponderance in the buys were noticed. Several scenarios can be expected in the near future:
• fixing above and testing the subsequent sell area;
• development of an upward movement after correction to the nearest buy zone;
• global sideways within $64,500-$59,000.
