This tutorial model demonstrates the thermal analysis of a Czochralski crystal growth furnace. In the furnace, the crucible and crystal rods rotate in opposite directions as the protective gas flow and convective heat transfer are investigated to determine the best way of maintaining the temperature gradient needed to shape and grow the crystal.

Uncertainty quantification can significantly enhance finite element method analysis of MEMS. شوک حرارتی یکی از دلایل شناخته شده در شکست شیشه است، اما این فرآیند دقیقا چگونه اتفاق می افتد؟

در ویدیوی سمت چپ، گرم شدن شیشه در اثر شوک حرارتی تا حد شکست نشان داده شده است.

ویدئوی سمت راست شامل مدل FEA را (که با استفاده از COMSOL Multiphysics ایجاد شده) نشان می دهد که شامل نمایش چگونگی انبساط در مرکز گرم شده شیشه بوده و در نتیجه، تنش فشاری ایجاد می شود، در حالی که بدنه شیشه اطراف این نقطه مرکزی به عنوان یک واکنش طبیعی، تحت کشش قرار می گیرد.

این کشش در لبه‌ها است که منجر به شکست می‌شود - شکستگی‌های ریز در لبه باز می‌شوند و منجر به شکست فاجعه‌بار در کل ورق می‌شوند.

فرآیند مشابه زمانی رخ می دهد که شیشه به سرعت سرد شود. گرادیان حرارتی باعث ایجاد کشش در سطح می شود که می تواند عیوب سطح را باز کند و باعث از بین رفتن شیشه شود.

اخیرا مقاله ایی از بنده در هشتمین کنفرانس بین المللی توسعه فناوری در مکانیک و هوافضا به انتشار رسیده است که راجع به مدلسازی تمام-مقیاس یک کوره بازیافت آسفالت با تکیه بر مدلسازی CFD جریانی پرحجم، پرحرارت، و نسبتا پرسرعت از هواست که با توسل به منطق FVM، رویکرد DDES و نرم افزار Star CCM انجام شده بود.

We're excited to offer two fully-funded positions on an innovative project aimed at revolutionizing the concrete industry by developing a digital twin system that autonomously optimizes concrete composition and process parameters in real time. Our goal is to reduce material waste and improve the environmental impact of concrete in construction.

This is a joint project between the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences, bringing together expertise in granular material modeling, software development, calibration, and concrete printing.

Modeling a Two-Phase Nonisothermal Zero-Gap Alkaline Water Electrolyzer

Alkaline water electrolyzers produce the majority of clean hydrogen today, though green hydrogen only makes up < 1% of all hydrogen production. This is largely because of the higher investment and operating costs compared to less sustainable methods.

To lower the overall costs, designers can use modeling and simulation to optimize the design and operating conditions that impact the electric energy consumption as well as reduce the need for prototypes during development.

🛥 In order for maintenance personnel to transfer from boat to offshore wind turbine, the bow of the vessel needs to press into the turbine's boat landing. Boat landings thus need to be designed to handle the impact of a vessel as well as the forces of the sea, without sacrificing the safety of the crew members.
