Donald Trump vows to make America the Crypto Capital
On August 29 Donald Trump made a significant pledge: to turn the United States into the world's leading cryptocurrency hub if elected president. In a brief video shared on his official X account, Trump hinted at a strategy that could involve World Liberty Financial, a DeFi project supported by his sons. The video concluded with the World Liberty Financial logo, suggesting its potential role in his ambitious agenda.
World Liberty Financial, known for its project “The Defiant Ones,” is focused on disrupting traditional banking by leveraging DeFi technology. This aligns with Trump’s recent pivot to a more pro-crypto stance, a notable shift from his earlier criticisms of Bitcoin. He also took the opportunity to criticize the Biden administration's approach to cryptocurrencies, promising to end what he calls a "war on crypto" if he returns to the White House.
In contrast, Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, has remained largely silent.
