Students who participated also excelled in unrelated end-of-year exams, showing how AI can encourage independent learning.

Girls, who initially lagged behind boys, made the biggest gains, proving AI’s ability to bridge gender gaps in education.

A student, summed it up best: “AI helps us to learn, it can serve as a tutor, it can be anything you want it to be, depending on the prompt you write.”

This is just the beginning. With AI making personalized tutoring scalable, education may never be the same again.

AI Profiles to Flood Social Media!

According to the Financial Times, Meta is planning to roll out AI-generated profiles that will live alongside regular accounts.

These profiles will have bios, profile pictures, and even generate and share content. Connor Hayes, Meta’s VP of Product for Generative AI, said this is the direction social media is heading.

Meta’s already launched trial tools to create these AI characters, with hundreds of thousands generated so far, though most remain private.

The idea is to make platforms like Instagram and Facebook “more social and engaging,” but not everyone is sold on the vision.

Critics have slammed the move as dystopian, warning of misinformation risks and a loss of authenticity.

Sam Altman’s 2019 Predictions for 3 Big Tech Advancements by 2025

OpenAI has just released its new AI model, OpenAI o1 (internally known as Project Strawberry/Q*), that can reason through complex tasks and solve harder problems than previous models in science, coding, and math.

These models spend more time thinking through problems before they respond, much like a person would.

The latest update performs similarly to PhD students on challenging benchmark tasks in physics, chemistry, and biology. It also excels in math and coding.

In a qualifying exam for the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), GPT-4o correctly solved only 13% of problems, while o1, scored 83%.
