◾️ Some Important Points About Monetry Policy :-
♦️According to the RBI Act 1934, the Monetary Policy Committee has to meet at least four times in a financial year.
♦️The fiftieth meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), constituted under Section 45ZB of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, was held during August 6th to 8th, 2024.
♦️According to Section 45ZL of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934, the Reserve Bank publishs, on the fourteenth day after every meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee.
♦️The Next meeting will be held on October 7th to 9th, 2024. This is the 3rd Bi-monthly monetary policy of the financial year 2024-25.
♦️Shaktikanta Das the Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has voted by a 4:2 majority to keep the policy repo rate unchanged at 6.5%.
♦️Repo Rate unchanged at 6.50% for the #ninth_consecutive_times.
♦️The quarterly estimates for GDP in 2024-25 are 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 & 7.2 in Q1-Q4, Respectively.
