On Thursday a fact-finding report on the allegation of discrimination of non-muslims and conversion of non-muslims to Islam in Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) was released by Justice (Retd) Shri S N Dhingra, Former Commissioner of Delhi Police Shri S N Srivastava and other members of fact-finding committee in a press conference.

The fact-finding committee in its report found that almost every witness deposed about the discrimination of non-muslims and bias against non-muslims in JMI whether non-muslim was a student or a member of the teaching faculty.

The 4th day of Deepavali or Kartik Shukla Pratipad is celebrated as Govardhan Puja or Annakoot. On this day, the devotees offer mountains made of vegetables to Bhagwan Sri Krishna, to signify Giri Govardhan.

On this day, Bhagwan Sri Krishna had lifted Govardhan Parvat on his little finger to provide shelter & protection to the Brijwasis from devasting storm & torrential rains, as they had incurred the wrath of Indra Dev, the King of Devas, for not continuing with their worship of him. After continous rainfall for about 9 days, Indradev realized that he was not the all-powerful what he had assumed due to his ego & stopped the rains.

This way Sri Krishna provided a lesson in humility & service to the king and other devas.

EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar confirms that India and China will be able to patrol areas which both patrolled before April 2020.

Sources explained that new protocols for patrolling have been agreed upon, adding that according to the agreement reached by both sides, patrolling will be done in all areas as what it was before 2020, including in Depsang, from PP10 to PP13. It is also learnt that the frequency of patrolling will be twice a month and that the strength for this exercise has been fixed at 15 personnel to avoid clashes. Both sides have also agreed to coordinate with each other before embarking on patrolling along the LAC.
