Dealing with life challenges

Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
_Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then, you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus._

Worry is an accepted part of humanity. It is our response to unmet expectations, failed efforts, and delayed help. We justify our worries so long as things don't fall out as planned. Worry has proven to be the most common and effective response of humans to challenges, but it also has a track record of not giving one single solution to a problem in the history of the world. This worldview is so bad that one is seen to be irresponsible if he or she doesn't get worried over problems.

Worry comes as a result of fear, uncertainty, and discouragement. However, God's word to us is to replace worry with prayer (Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything). It is not to pray in worry or out of worry. With God, if you choose worry, don't pray. If you pray, don't worry.

Worry is stress without work, pain without a fight, and busyness with no progress. Prayer is transferring the tension, the pressure, and the difficulty onto God. That is why the first answer to every prayer request must be peace that surpasses all understanding. If you really did a transfer to God, peace will be automatic. Worry is something that can show up many times in the day, depending on what is confronting you at all fronts. That is why prayer must also be done many times in the day. _As life throws worry-inducing situations, you also do worry-transferring prayers._

Never finish a prayer until you see that peace has replaced your worry. When worry shows up in the course of the day after earlier prayer, it is also an alarm to offload another thing in prayer. That is why the word of God entreats that we pray without ceasing. And also pray and not faint. Translate your tears into prayer, your murmuring into tongues speaking, and your hopelessness into thanksgiving. Such exercises will from the beginning, feel like throwing a stone at an elephant or a wall. The peace that will show up may be faint after long prayers. Keep it up. Very soon, you will begin to experience overwhelming peace. And then answers will start to flood in like rivers.

The anointing of the Lord is for all of God's agenda on earth. It is the enablement of the Spirit in a person for a divine assignment. The anointing is God's extended help, to all His working people here on earth. It is God's extended love to all His enabled children. It is God saying that I won't let you just do this all by yourself. The anointing is God's secret support to all your endeavours. It is God's functional role secretly playing out in every possibility you see in your life.

The anointing is the strength of God showing up for our weakness, the wisdom of God replacing our ignorance, the power of God making up for our helplessness, the character of God exchanging for our pride and defiled souls. The anointing is God forever canceling any possibility of a person calling Him wicked for bringing him or her on earth. The anointing is God's help for God's assignment. It is God's contribution to a person's life, so we will never have a cause to say life is hard. It is a life that neglects the anointing or rejects Grace that sees hardship. God never sends a person into this world without the requisit anointing for his or her journey. YOU ARE HIGHLY ANOINTED FOR WHO YOU MUST BE. The anointing is what God placed in you and on you to make it easy to be you.

The way you talk, walk, think, work, write, preach, act, etc, are all special anointings invested in you to accomplish your destiny. Yes, in a lifetime, an anointing can be corrupted. Many have defiled their anointing. What God placed in them have been heavily stained because of a wayward and perverted lifestyle. But there is always an opportunity to make amends and to refine the anointing on your life. Spend the day asking the Lord to refresh the anointing on your life. Whatever uniqueness He placed in you to make the fulfilment of destiny possible, must be purged and put to use after today. Life is as easy as being anointed for whatever the task is.

_It's the praising life that honors me. As soon as you set your foot on the Way, I'll show you my salvation."_

If you are not the type who has learned to praise God always in every circumstance, I believe you are asking “yourself why you didn't see this scripture early in life”. The assurance of God's deliverance in praise cannot be compared to any spiritual activity. It is written that He is fearful in praises and always doing wonders in such atmospheres.

This scripture reveals something interesting about the Praises that bring great deliverance and salvation. It refers to it as the Praise life. It moves praise in this realm from being an occasional activity to a lifestyle when your subconsciousness adopts praise as its nature. The praise lifestyle. When thank you, Jesus becomes your response to every situation, whether good or bad. When songs don't have to be nice or sung by your favourite to move you to dance. When Hallelujah and Hossana become your most common words in your daily communications. Praises is a personal prophecy for your deliverance. This year, be intentional with praises. Mega and great testimonies are delivered on the wings of praise.

The moment you set your foot on the way of praise, the Bible assures you of God's salvation. Never be stingy with praise. Let your voice be heard; let your dance be seen. Praise is not just a gift to God. It is rather a gift to your destiny. Sorrow and murmuring confirm your current bondage. Praises confirm your imminent deliverance. There is a joy that brings testimonies. And there are testimonies that bring unspeakable joy. May you receive the praise-induced joy that will bring the kind of testimonies that will also lead you to a season of unspeakable joy. There is pre-testimony praise and post-testimony praise. Receive grace for both in Jesus’ name. Apostle Paul and Silas praised God at midnight in prison (Pre-testimony joy) and when the foundation shook and doors opened for their deliverance. They praised God again (Post-testimony joy). It is your season of praise upon praise in Jesus’ name.


Let's Pray;
- Father, I thank You for the opportunity to enter Your gate with thanksgiving and Your court with praises in Jesus' name.
- ⁠I receive grace not to confirm bondage through murmuring but deliverance through praise in Jesus' name.
- ⁠I receive grace to see God in my life and circumstances more than I see the devil. May this grace gush out praise in me on a daily basis in Jesus' name.

_One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple._

What drives a person is whatever desire he or she has in the heart. It is natural to have a person seeking after his unique desire. Desire determines attitude, direction, sacrifices, efforts, and pursuits. Wrong desires lead to the wrong lifestyle.

Three desires were the driving force of David's life: to dwell in the house of God, to behold His beauty or glory, and then to enquire of Him. The man's desire was not to dwell in his palace but in the place consecrated to God, to see God, and to speak to God continuously. And He sought after this desire all the days of his life. May be this is the real reason why God said I have found David my servant, one after my own heart. God found a man whose greatest desire was to be in His presence, to look upon Him, and to speak with Him continuously. In short, God was David's desire. Being in God's presence, knowing God, and then praying to Him.

What is your desire? It determines what you seek after. Pour out your heart to the Lord today. Allow the Holy Spirit to deal with wrong desires and then release into you divine desires that will give you life-changing drives from today.

HOW WILL YOUR MIRACLE BE NAMED?

Genesis 17:17-19 KJV
Then Abraham fell upon his face and LAUGHED, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee! And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac; and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.

Always remember your testimony is not named yet. Don't make the mistake of naming your testimony wrongly because of unbelief or weariness in waiting on God. Abraham waited for the manifestation of God's promise until it got to a time he settled his situation in his heart and didn't want a child again (Oh, that Ishmael will live before You). He was not interested in any promise of another son coming. God's final promise for a son from Sarah came to him as a joke. The man laughed at God. God became a joke to him after 25 years of waiting and also considering his present circumstances as an old man managing life with his extremely old wife. Abraham bowed down in a worship posture and laughed at God. Wow!

He was only being polite in worship. This is to say that not everyone bowing to God is serious about Him. Some are doing that as a custom. But their hearts have lost touch with the substance of their relationship with God. In short, like Abraham, they are fed up with too much talk from God. They don't even want to hear another promise from God or from His word. Maybe you are one of them. Interestingly, in the next chapter, when God visited them physically, Sarah also laughed at the promise.

Genesis 18:12-13, 15 KJV
Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also? And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

The old couple laughed at God Almighty. The man laughed; the woman also laughed and lied to God in addition to the mockery. Sarah was so bold to argue with God that she didn't laugh. That is how badly the two reduced the omnipotence of God at a point in their disappointed lives as they waited too long for a miracle. It is easy to fall into this same trap as a child of God. Where the word of God becomes like a story that pastors preach every Sunday. You feel that God shouldn't keep embarrassing Himself, so you just keep up with kingdom activities just to make up for your commitment to Him or your religious standpoint. But deep within, you don't want any more promises or prophecies.

But you see, God spoke to Abraham after his laughter and said the son that Sarah will give birth to will be called Isaac. Which means laughter or mockery. The miracle will be called Mockery. So anytime they saw Isaac, they remembered that they laughed at God that He couldn't fulfil His promise. Isaac became a symbol of mockery. They mocked God when the birth of Isaac was delayed. And God mocked them with Isaac, saying that He can also do anything He wants at the time that seems right to Him.

Because of this, Isaac couldn't fulfil the Abrahamic covenant of becoming a nation. He didn't come through a good circumstance. So it took his son Jacob to fulfil the Abrahamic covenant. The latter attitude of his parents didn't please God. So He was a miracle that God released through mockery. The miracle called Isaac couldn't fulfil destiny as he should. Beloved, don't deny your miracle its full potential when it finally shows up.

Abraham and Sarah started with faith and ended with mockery. The final stage of the release of your miracle matters greatly. Will you believe God to the end? How will God name your miracle? Will your miracle be another Isaac? Isaac showed up but couldn't fulfil the covenant because God felt mocked. He missed being in Israel.

God shifted this blessing to his son, Jacob. Don't laugh! Don't be bitter! Don't lose interest! Don't let down your faith! God will do exactly as He has promised. Our timings with God may not be the same, but it will surely happen.

Let's Pray;
- Father, thank You for all the promises in Your word in Jesus’ name.
- As I pray, I receive grace to believe to the end. Grace for extreme patience in dealing with God is my portion in Jesus’ name.
- I declare that my miracle or testimony will fulfil the purpose for which it was sent in Jesus’ name.
- My father helps my faith. My expectations are upon every promise in Jesus’ name.

And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

This was the shocking statement that a prostitute received from the very lips of Jesus. The people around didn't expect forgiveness to come out so easily from the lips of Jesus because of her dirty lifestyle. She herself didn't believe her simple act of tearing down on Christ's feet, wiping her tears with her hair, and kissing. His feet could make Him also wipe away all the sins she has committed. The question that kept ringing in her mind was, Is forgiveness so easy? Yes, it is! People don't have to do so much to earn forgiveness as far as God, whom we follow, is concerned. The very sins that made God allow the death of millions, the plagues on nations, and the defeat of many were forgiven so easily. Dealing harshly with sinners because they sinned was and is a much greater burden for our God than dealing with the sin through forgiveness because of His love for the sinner. It is for this same reason why He commands us to also master the skill of dealing with the offence and not the offender.

Forgiveness is not a suggestion. It is a command. There have been many theories about forgiveness in the world. Some say forgive, but don't forget. Some say forgive but only once. Some say forgive but set boundaries. Forgiveness is to wipe out the sin from the sinner. The offence from the offender. That is why to genuinely forgive is to be God-like. Almost all of the kingdom's impact and influence are linked to men and women who can easily forgive. They understand the very ways of God and can be trusted with God's people and God's operations.

If you desire a year of great testimonies, then begin by granting forgiveness to those who don't even deserve it. This is a process of sanctification that prepares men for divine help and blessings. If you are struggling to forgive because of the hurt in your heart, this is your day! The Holy Spirit is working on you now. Forgiveness can be as easy as what Jesus said to the woman, "Thy sins are forgiven." Her sins hurt the Lord, but her liberty rather gave Him much joy. Free people today so you can see a greater joy also. Holding people's offences at heart is like taking poison and expecting another to die. Forgive so you can live your best life. In forgiveness, the offended becomes more free than the offender. Forgiveness is a two-way blessing. Bless your soul by living the life of constant forgiveness. Satan's advantage is to see you holding on tightly to bitterness, grudges, and offences. But this year is his loss because we must free ourselves to make room for some mega testimonies.

Let's Pray.
- ⁠Father, thank You for the grace to let go of every bitterness and hurt in Jesus' name.
- ⁠I receive the grace to easily forgive from today in Jesus' name.
- Let the Holy Spirit heal my heart from every form of bitterness against people around me in Jesus' name.
- ⁠From today, I renounce any character of "I can't forgive" that has blocked my breakthroughs for many years in Jesus' name.
- ⁠Father, touch any unforgiving heart that is holding any grudge against me in Jesus' name.

But before all these, THEY shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And it shall turn to YOU for a testimony.

The simplest way to interpret this scripture is that they will work eagerly with the intention to harm you, yet their works will form the basis of your testimonies. Enemies will actually dictate your testimonies. Challenges will be the framework of your testimonies. In short, challenges will bring your greatest testimonies. Can you now smile at the storm? The number of your problems is the number of your testimonies. Jesus said their intentions are to harm you, but they will turn to you as testimonies. They will foster your kingdom assignment.

We are in a year that there will be a swift shift of events that will shock those who scheme evil against you. Their evil will bring your new level. Their lies will become your destiny
announcement. Prepare for the turnaround season.

Indeed, it was in prison that Peter saw an angel for the first time. He saw the testimony of
doors opening by themselves and chains breaking from his feet supernaturally. It was during the persecution of Herod that Philip, the accountant and distributor of food in the church of Jerusalem, entered Samaria and turned the city around with signs and wonders. It was in the stoning of Stephen that his face changed into that o an angel, and he saw. Jesus giving him a standing ovation. It was in the middle of the shipwreck in the deep sea that the Lord Jesus appeared again to Apostle Paul. It was in prison that Apostle Paul saw foundation shake and prison doors open by themselves through the power of God. As Jesus said, their major testimonies came in the times when life seemed over for them. God indeed moves at unlikely periods. Mostly in the times of our vulnerability, moments we become overwhelmed with challenges and even feel He has rejected us, He shows up and calls light out of darkness, and the dry land out of the waters.

Remember, the brothers of Joseph's evil led him to his biggest breakthrough. God will use
your enemy for your lifting. That is why Satan is the most used of all creatures by the Lord.
He will surely be a victim in your case again in Jesus' name.

LET'S PRAY

1. Thank you, Father, for every good intention heaven has conceived to avert the
evil intention of hell over my life in Jesus' name
2 As I pray, let the labour of my testimonies be on my enemies. Let their schemes
against me turn into testimonies in Jesus' name.
3. As I pray,I declare that hell will not see their expected conclusion over my Iife.
There is a shift in my favour along the way in Jesus' name.
4. As I pray, I receive grace to hold on to faith until evil turns around for my great

If you don't cultivate a land, nature cultivates it. Even if you don't clear the land, fertilize it, and keep it in good shape, there is still something that will come alive there. They are called WEEDS. Weeds dont need seeds. They don't need good soil, good weather, watering and fertilizing to grow. If you leave the land hanging They will easily take advantage and grow. Where profitable crops can't grow, the unprofitable ones like weeds grow rapidly and comfortably.

In agriculture, you check the weather, do the watering, fix the soil, and fertilize it properly before any profitable crop can be sown to see a good harvest. If you don't do these, the seeds will die in your very eyes without seeing any proper germination.

With that same soil condition, you don't even have to plant seeds. Weeds will show up without any plantation. No one plants them. No one water them. They show up naturally. Cut them off a thousand times, and they will show up again.

Beloved, it is the same with good and evil. Evil doesn't strive to show up. Evil manifest naturally. If you leave your heart and life unattended to, Evil will show up without any effort of yours. As weeds need no effort to grow in any soil and weather, so is evil. Evil comes up naturally in a life that doesn't live intentionally to please the Lord.

To grow as a plant before the Lord demands good soil and proper supervision. The bible says Jesus grew up as a tender plant before the Lord (Isaiah 53:2). You can choose to happen as a weed and make things happen to you as weeds, or you can choose to be planted and carefully grow by the full help and ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Weeds care about nothing. Plants are fully cared for. Be intentional about your life. If you choose to be idle for some months, what will show up naturally is a weed called poverty. You won't be lucky to have wealth show up. Flowers don't just show up. Gardens are planted. It is Bushes shows up without cultivation. If you live life carelessly, what is likely to show up is ill-health and death. Long life is not a jackpot. It is given through careful fellowship with the Holy Spirit of life. If you don't prepare for exams, success won't be automatic. Failure will be the obvious. To have success, you have to study diligently. You have to plant knowledge into your head.

If you want to be a plant with great fruits for your generation allow yourself to be cultivated by the Lord. If you want to be a flower to beautify your generation, allow God to cultivate you. Be intentional not to live your life unattended to so you don't invite the spirit of a weed. Refuse to be a weed. You are the tree of righteousness, the garden of the Lord. God wants you to be His planting. Don't be a weed. Be a seed in God's hand;

Isaiah 61:3 KJV
.... that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Beloved, start this week with this in mind, "if I do nothing. Weeds will show up." Be intentional to rise up and pray on Alpha Hour. Study your Bible. Be diligent in school. Be hard working at work and in business. Withdraw from evil and anything that comes in that form. Find a day in the week to fast. Be ready to walk with the Holy Spirit and obey Him daily. If you miss these consecration, be diligent enough to make up for it in another day.
