Okay, upon investigating the situation, it appears that Telegram automatically puts in ads whenever a channel reaches over 1k subscribers. These ads are randomly placed on the feed and they are only visible to folks who don't have a Telegram Premium subscription. Unfortunately, we have absolutely no control over these ads whatsoever. We can't disable them at all, we don't get any ad revenue from them, and we don't even know what's being advertised unless someone in the channel lets us know. Believe us, if we could disable them we would because this level of capitalistic encroachment is not what we're about.
