☘️ CACP was established in: January 1965
☘️ MSP was announced for the first time in: 1966
☘️ It is calculated on Cost of production
☘️ Recommended and calculated by: CACP ( Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices )
☘️ Announced & Decided by: CCEA ( Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs) (GOI)
☘️ A2 +FL method is used to calculate the MSP by CACP.
☘️ Number of crops: 22 (MSP) + 1 (FRP)
☘️ For Sugarcane [ Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) ] is declared instead of MSP.
☘️ Commercial crops -> in MSP- Cotton , Copra , Jute (3), in FRP- Sugarcane (1) Total- 4
☘️ Crops covered -> Cereals - 7, Pulses- 5, Oilseed - 7, Other commercial crop - 3 (cotton , copra ,Raw jute) Total -22 crops in MSP , Sugarcane in FRP (All total 23)
