This is BOJ Statement.

Bank of Japan has increased policy interest rate to 0.5% from 0.25%.

This is highest interest rate level in last 17 years.

Markets are calm as of now and waiting for press conference by governor of bank of Japan, Mr. Ueda.

Currency movement and equity market movement will depend on commentary by governor.

If he sounds Hawkish then Yen will appreciate as against US dollar.

This can also result into Yen Carry Trade unwinding and consequent impact on equity markets.

Oyo Reporting consistent profit. Pure benefit from Leverage.

Accor, A French group owned G6/M6 earlier. They sold to Blackstone for 1.9 billion USD in 2012.
Blackstone made profit of more than 1 billion over the years plus they also earned by selling some of the locations over the years.
Now Oyo acquired it at just 525 million USD. On valuation front price paid by Oyo seems to be fair.

M6 is budget hotel chain founded in 1962 and operating at 1500 locations in US and Canada. You can get M6 property at 100$ per night in New York. It’s that affordable and budget friendly. It doesn’t have great customer satisfaction reviews.

US Hospitality market is stagnated in terms of rates and occupancy both at present.

I will present more on valuation front after about one month.
