FIDE World Chess Championship Singapore 2024

The FIDE World Chess Championship Match 2024 will take place in Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa between 25 Nov โ€“ 13 Dec 2024. This iconic event will be the first in 138 years to feature two contestants from Asia - the reigning world champion, Chinaโ€™s Grandmaster Ding Liren, defending his title against 18-year old Indian Grandmaster Dommaraju Gukesh, the youngest challenger in the history of the Championship.

This will only be the second time in the championshipโ€™s history that it is held in Southeast Asia, the first being in Baguio, the Philippines in 1978.
