Three Abetifi Presbyterian College of Education Students Win Awards at the Ghana Prestigious Colleges Awards 2024

In a proud moment for Abetifi Presbyterian College of Education, three of our students were honored at the esteemed Ghana Prestigious Colleges Awards 2024, held at the CLOGSAG Headquarters in Accra, near the Registrar General’s office. This accomplishment has significantly raised the profile of the college, placing it on the national map in teacher and nursing training education.

The Ghana Prestigious Colleges Awards is regarded as one of the most credible and prestigious awards platforms in the country, recognizing excellence across various categories in the education sector. Our talented students received top accolades in their respective fields:

Abubakar Mariam in the Student Model category.

Osei Nyame Gladys was awarded Best Student Entrepreneur of the Year.

Vera Opoku Otchere was honored as the Best Pencil Artist of the Year.

Resit Examination for Regular B.Ed Level 100 (First/Second) and Level 400 (Second Semester) Courses

From 4th to 13th November 2024

Level 100 students (2023 year group) can currently register only for first-semester courses they need to retake. Registration for second-semester courses will be possible after the results are released for levels 100 and 400. Level 100 students who fail to register and retake trailed courses will not be allowed to progress to Level 200.

Registration Process

All resitters must ensure that they settle their outstanding Examination/College fees before taking part in the resit examinations.

Confirm the number of courses you have to retake from your Students’ Portal.

The cost per resit paper is GH¢125.00. Purchase the “Institute of Education RESIT VOUCHER” from any networked branch of GCB Bank Plc nationwide. The receipt from the teller should contain the Serial Number(s) and PIN(s).

• OLA CoE, Cape Coast
• St. Teresa’s CoE, Hohoe
• Kibi CoE, Kibi
• Offinso CoE, Offinso

Visit your Students’ Portal to register for your resit course(s) using the following steps:

1 Click on the Resit Registration button.
2 Select your preferred resit centre.
3 Select the Courses you want to register.
4 Enter the Serial Number(s) and PIN(s) purchased from the bank for the resit course(s). (Each Serial number must match the correct PIN and one serial number/pin per resit course).
5 Click to register your Course(s).
6 Print your resit registration form.

On the day of the resit, students must present a copy of their resit registration form and a copy of the bank payment receipt.

Access the RESIT timetable by clicking on the "RESIT Exams Timetable" button in your students’ portal for a copy of the resit schedule.

DETAILS OF UNIVERSITY OF CAPE COAST (UCC) SWITCH 3.1 BACHELOR OF EDUCATION PROGRAMME

This innovative initiative aims to empower teachers across the country by providing them with the opportunity to acquire an additional degree in secondary education. In this article, we will explore the eligibility criteria and benefits of this unique programme that seeks to elevate the quality of education in Ghana.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible to apply for the SWITCH 3.1 Bachelor of Education Programme, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a degree in basic education: Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in basic education, showcasing their foundational knowledge in the field.


What is the duration of the programe?

Is three (3) semesters in one year. Is a specialisation programme which would afford learners indept knowledge in content and pedagogical skills. There will be teaching pratice aspect at the senior high school under supervision.

How is the programme going to be organised?
weekends lecture on face to face and a midweek lecture on zoom.

How much will the programme cost?
It starts with the purchasing of the forms for one hundred and fifty-five cedis at the specified banks or through momo to generate your pin for the online application via www.ucc.edu.gh.

Fees per semester ranges between 1500 and 1600 with flexible terms of payment.
