May Roadmap Updates

Hey everyone! As promised, we're committed to keeping our roadmap as up-to-date as possible to ensure you all can use it as your place of truth. Here's the latest update:

- NEW: Added "In-progress" and "Completed" buttons to provide a clearer look into what roadmap items are ongoing and completed. ( 🟣 = In Progress and 🟢 = Completed)
- NEW: Added "Facial Rigs Pt.1" to Release 2.2
- MOVED: Tiers 3-5 Racers for ONI/MUD/Ustur have been moved from Release 2.2/Pre-season to Season 0.

Surge Rewards

The Surge test on April 20 features four tiers of rewards that are based off how many players join the test, those are:

🔹 > 300 players = ATLAS
🔹 300+ players = Common Crew
🔹 500+ players = Uncommon Crew
🔹 1,000+ players = Rare Crew

At each tier of crew rewards, only one faction will be distributed to all participants in the test (regardless of faction), determined by the faction with the highest number of wins up to that point. For example, if Ustur has the most wins before reaching 1,000 players, only the Rare Crew associated with Ustur will be minted for every tester regardless of faction. This logic applies to the Common and Uncommon Crew as well.

Make sure you mark interested on the Surge events at the top left of the Discord to make sure you don't miss it!

Incoming SDU, Faction Fleet and Faction Claims Changes

Hey everyone! Hope you all are enjoying Community Week. 🫂

We've got some exciting news to share: tomorrow, we have a big update scheduled, and after Starbased is released, there's another important update you'll want to be prepared for! Those are:

Faction Fleet

• Emissions for all vehicles will drop an additional 33% from the original emission rate. (No change to R4 consumption)
• IMPORTANT FUTURE NOTE (NOT HAPPENING TOMORROW): Faction Fleet will be fully deprecated when Starbased is released

SAGE

• The global max units of SDUs (amount that can be found) per minute is increasing from 1,500 to 2,000
• Crafting recipe fees will receive a rebase to current market prices at 7% fee

Faction Claims

• IMPORTANT FUTURE NOTE (NOT HAPPENING TOMORROW): Armstrong Miner ships will no longer be usable in Faction Claims when Starbased is released

Star Atlas State of the Economy - Q4 2023

The latest Star Atlas State of the Economy report for Q4 2023 is out! 📊

A major theme this quarter was navigating the economic shifts brought by the introduction of SAGE Labs. The addition of new gameplay loops brings in fresh economic opportunities.

Key Highlights Include:
- Daily SCORE participation shifted above the mean trend for the first time since the start of its decline in 2021.
- The ONI and USTUR factions waited for strong ATLAS/USDC price action to re-enter SCORE, while the MUD faction consistently re-entered over time.
- Aggregate census wealth grew by 302%.
- SAGE Labs supported 1,550 daily active wallets on average throughout the quarter.
- Surpluses of Golden Tickets produced by USTUR and ONI found a market in the MUD faction, leading to a substantial wealth exchange.
- Food, fuel, ammunition, toolkits, and survey data units showed incredible strength in their USDC valuation throughout the quarter.
