Exciting news! The post-quantum signature algorithm QANplatform has been using since the beginning was selected as one of the three finalized PQC standards by NIST today! 🎉🔐

We are really proud that QAN not only identified but also implemented the post-quantum algorithm (CRYSTALS-Dilithium) in its blockchain platform way before NIST had chosen it.

🟢 QAN TestNet is up and running again.

The cause of the problem has been found and fixed.
The QAN TestNet is fully operational again.

Reason of the temporary outage was that the nodes fell out of sync because of a hardware clock (RTC) issue and NTP server could not be contacted.

The issue was not related to the product.

Why is the QAN TestNet currently not available?

The current QAN TestNet infrastructure runs 5 bootnodes.

We were experimenting with resynchronization and database rebuilding and encountered two issues:
1) synchronization gets stuck at specific block height,
2) previous successfully XLINK validated transactions fail during database rebuild due to expired XLINKs.

The second one is a simple fix.
The first one could be solved with a complete relaunch as apparently there is nothing wrong, but it seemingly depends on such an edge case that was really hard to even reproduce. However, we must investigate it to find the main root cause so it never occurs again.
