If you have already purchased silver at any point in the past at the ratio of at least 9️⃣0️⃣ and above then there is a potential to profit and gain some free precious metals today through switching that silver to gold as the ratio is 8️⃣0️⃣ (10 points difference).
IMPORTANT NOTE!
Personally though, if we had purchased silver in the past at the ratio of 9️⃣0️⃣ or above and today the ratio is 8️⃣0️⃣ we would NOT switch just yet…
We would wait for the ratio to come down further to at least 7️⃣8️⃣ or below before making a switch!
To explain further, we would rather wait until the ratio of 7️⃣8️⃣ or below (preferably 7️⃣5️⃣) before switching any silver to gold even when we already have at least a 10 point difference, because you have always got to think about what will the next switch point be in the future if I were to switch today?
We’re always looking in to the future and in this example, what the next switch from gold back to silver would be. We prefer to set out targets at the ratio of 8️⃣5️⃣ (to switch our gold back to silver) as the likelihood of the ratio hitting 8️⃣5️⃣ is far more likely than higher ratio’s of say 8️⃣8️⃣ and above.
