Key Responsibilities /ቁልፍ ኃላፊነት:
1. Strategic Oversight:
▪️Design and implement environmental management systems and sustainability plans.
▪️Conduct regular environmental audits and risk assessments.
2. Regulatory and Compliance Leadership:
▪️Ensure compliance with national and international environmental laws.
▪️Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports, permits, and licenses.
3. Environmental Monitoring and Control:
▪️Lead advanced environmental testing, including air, water, and soil analysis.
▪️Implement and monitor pollution control measures.
4. Sustainability Initiatives:
▪️Develop and manage sustainability projects to minimize the environmental footprint (e.g., energy efficiency, waste recycling programs).
▪️Identify and promote opportunities for cleaner production techniques.
5. Training and Development:
▪️Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff on environmental compliance and sustainability.
▪️Mentor junior officers and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
6. Stakeholder Engagement:
▪️Liaise with government bodies, NGOs, and external auditors on environmental issues.
▪️Act as the company’s representative in environmental forums and initiatives.
7. Emergency Response:
▪️Develop and maintain environmental emergency response plans for incidents like chemical spills or emissions breaches
