Questions to ask PD:
1 How can we as residents help you achieve what you plan to see in the program in the next few years?
2 Potential changes in curriculum or program environment based on resident feedback - research track, medical education track, workshops?
3 As a leader in the field, what do you think are the challenges facing neurologists today and how does Larkin help residents prepare for those challenges?
4 So I like to learn something from each person I meet in the chance that I do not see them again: what piece of advice did you wish you received at my stage of training?
5 Planning on having fellowships in the future?
6 You obviously have a lot of experience and expertise in assisting in preparation for board exams. What do you think are some of the biggest determinants in doing well on boards?
7 Any last tips?

1 What is your favorite aspect of working in a community hospital versus a major medical center?
2 What would make an ideal resident for you?
3 What aspects of the program did you want to see an improvement in and how can we as residents help?
4 What responsibilities would you give to residents who want to participate in clinical trials?
5 How would you address and help students who are having trouble keeping up with the curriculum or the pace?
6 Whats your favorite aspect of working here?
7 Did you have any role models in your career and what was the best advice you got from them?
8 What kind of priorities should we focus on during the first 3 months here?
Questions to ask chief residents?
1 What is one thing you wish you knew at this stage?
2 How do you keep your team motivated amidst obstacles?
3 How often do the chiefs provide feedback to the interns or the senior residents?
4 Who do you look up to for motivation and inspiration on leadership?
5 Is there opportunity to help out in clinical trials?
6 What is your ideal colleague/what do you expect from them?
Questions to ask residents?
1 What kind of evaluation and feedback do you get from your seniors and faculty?
2 How friendly are the faculty to answer questions not about neurology? What other resources do you have here for wellness?
3 Do you get mentoring for research/clinical trials or are you expected to find your own?
4 What’s a typical day like for you?
5 How were the holidays?
6 What do you guys like to do in NB on your time off?
7 Do you guys get funding to attend national conferences?
8 How do you tell when we have autonomy and when we need to call up like chiefs or something in the middle of the night
