ANNOUNCEMENT FOR STUDENTS: MOCK EXAMINATION AND CBT DEPLOYMENT FOR GST & CSC COURSES


Dear Students,

We are excited to inform you that all examinations for GST and CSC courses will now be conducted using the Computer-Based Testing (CBT) system at the Centre.

The affected courses include:

- GST101A
- GST103
- GST222
- CSC200
- GST301A
- CSC300

To help you get familiar with the CBT process, we will be running a Mock Examination for one week. This is a great opportunity for you to practice and get comfortable with the CBT steps before the actual exams.

All 100L - 300L Students registered in these Courses are encouraged to prepare and participate in this Mock Examination, which will take place in the CBT Rooms at the Centre during the Face-To-Face Exercise. The date for this will be announced. During the Mock Examination, our vibrant Officers will be available in all our CBT Rooms to provide any assistance you may need.

Binded and Signed Copy of your Final Project By Your Assigned Supervisor.

2:
ORIGINAL O' Level Certificate as submitted at your entry level.

3:
Admission Letter.

4:
Duly Signed School Fee Payment Receipts (100- 500Level) as well as Change of Department Fee (where applicable).

5:
Your Student ID Card.

6:
Paper Scratch Cards to authenticate the O'Level used for your Admission.

2024/2025 MATRICULATION AND APPLICANTS INDUCTION PROGRAMME

The Matriculation Ceremony and the Applicants Induction Course for 2024/2025 shall come up between 16th to 18th of October, 2024.

We use this medium to congratulate all the successful Applicants of 2024-2025 Admission Exercise and also wish to advise you join us next week Wednesday for the Matriculation Physically and Virtually.

The Applicants Induction Course shall usher you into the operational modalities of the Centre For Distance For Distance Learning and Continuing Education.

You shall have the privilege of being guided on how your Studies here shall go from the Entry Level to the Final Level.

You shall be guided on the Calculations of your CGPA and the scoring methodologies as excellent students aspiring for First Class, Second Class among others.

You shall be told of the University's Examination, Deferment , Expulsion Rules & Regulations.

Important Announcement: Application Form Sales Update

The sale of application forms for the 2024/2025 academic session for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Part-Time programs will officially close tomorrow, September 19th, 2024.

Immediately following this, the sale of application forms for the 2025/2026 academic session will begin.

This serves as a final reminder for those who are still considering applying for the 2024/2025 academic session. The final batch of ODL/PT admissions processing will begin after the closure of the form sales, and we anticipate completing this process within one week.

This will allow third batch applicants to join the ongoing virtual classes, which are set to conclude in a few weeks.

Important Notice for Students with Outstanding Course Deficiencies

The following webpage contains a list of students who, due to outstanding course deficiencies, have not graduated in previous academic sessions.

The purpose of this list is to inform affected students of the risk of their studentship being terminated and to urge them to address these deficiencies during the current academic session.

Please note: Spillover students who participated in the recently concluded 2022/2023 academic session are not included in this list. Their final status will be determined after the release of their results.

Please be informed that the upload of second-semester results for the 2023/2024 session is imminent. If you have any outstanding first-semester results from the 2023/2024 session that have not yet been uploaded, you are advised to promptly contact your coordinator or the Centre Management (Exams and Records, Deputy Directors, and Director) to resolve this issue.


Additionally, all 2023/2024 finalists who have noticed any errors in the arrangement or composition of their names should take immediate steps to correct these before the final processing of results begins, which is expected to start in a few days.


Please also note that attendance and records are being monitored by designated officers during the ongoing virtual classes. It is crucial to actively participate to avoid any negative implications.


Finally, all 2023/2024 finalists must ensure that their Research Projects are completed before the upload of their second-semester results. Failure to submit your project on time may result in not graduating with your set, as the Research Project is a mandatory requirement for graduation.
