War Room host Stephen K. Bannon is scheduled to be released from federal prison next Tuesday, the Bureau of Prisons confirmed, despite Bannon having been eligible for early release for weeks, as first reported by The National Pulse.
The Biden-Harris Bureau of Prisons, however, says the October 29 date will remain, meaning he will serve the full 120-day sentence for the bunk contempt of Congress charge he faced for refusing to cooperate with Liz Cheneyβs subpoenas.
Although he has almost finished his sentence, Bannonβs appeal against the conviction is still ongoing. During his time at FCI Danbury, Bannon spent much time in the prison library.
Bannon also faces a fresh legal battle in New York, where he faces fraud charges related to the βWe Build the Wallβ campaign. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of money laundering, conspiracy, and fraud. The trial is expected to begin in December.
