➼ Every year on 20 October, 'World Statistics Day' (World Statistics Day 2024) is celebrated all over the world.
हर वर्ष 20 अक्टूबर को दुनियाभर में ‘विश्व सांख्यिकी दिवस’ मनाया जाता है।

➼ 'Vijaya Rahatkar' has been appointed as the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women . The Ministry of Women and Child Development has issued a notification in this regard.
‘विजया रहाटकर’ (Vijaya Rahatkar) को राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया है। महिला और बाल विकास मंत्रालय ने इस संबंध में अधिसूचना जारी की है।

➼ Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate projects worth Rs 1,300 crore in Varanasi on October 20.

➼ The 'Railway Protection Force' (RPF) will participate in a half marathon in Delhi on October 20. Its purpose is to raise awareness against child trafficking.

➼ Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate  the ' National Rabi Krishi Sammelan 2024' on October 19 in New Delhi.
कृषि और किसान कल्याण मंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान 19 अक्टूबर को नई दिल्ली में ‘राष्ट्रीय रबी कृषि सम्मेलन 2024’ का उद्घाटन करेंगे।

➼ Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu on October 18 unveiled the 'Aviation Park' in the ministry premises. The park presents a picturesque view of models of aircraft.

➼ The Central Government has extended the last date for the ' National Scholarship Portal' for meritorious students for the year 2024-25 till 31st October.
केंद्र सरकार ने वर्ष 2024-25 के लिए मेधावी छात्रों के ‘राष्‍ट्रीय छात्रवृत्ति पोर्टल’ की अंतिम तिथि 31 अक्टूबर तक बढ़ा दी है।

➼ According to a report by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), around 41.7 million people in Bangladesh are living in extreme poverty and six and a half percent of them are in a miserable condition.
संयुक्‍त राष्‍ट्र विकास कार्यक्रम(UNDP) की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार बांग्‍लादेश में लगभग चार करोड़ 17 लाख लोग बेहद गरीबी में जी रहे हैं और इनमें से साढे छह प्रतिशत लोग बदहाल स्थिति में हैं।
