We understand that some may feel that the name should have been Kurdistan Region Section, and we value and respect that sentiment deeply. Kurdistan is the heart of our section, and we proudly support the 10 active university chapters in the region that are thriving and growing stronger every day. 🌟

The decision to adopt "Northern Iraq" is a strategic one that allows us to better align with our goals of inclusivity and cooperation across all the areas we serve. It opens new doors for regional collaboration while strengthening our presence and impact in the broader industry.

Our focus remains unchanged: we are committed to advancing the oil and gas industry, fostering knowledge exchange, and providing opportunities for all professionals and students in the Kurdistan Region and beyond.

خۆشحاڵین بە ڕاگەیاندنی ناوی نوێمان :ئێس‌پی‌ئی لقی باکووری عێراق کە پێشتر بە لقی هەولێر ناسراوبوو. ئێمە ڕێز لە ڕۆڵی گرنگی کۆمەڵگاکەمان دەگرین و ئەم ناسنامە نوێیەش ڕەنگدانەوەی گەشەسەندن و فراوانبوونی بازنەکەمانە.

بە قووڵی لە بەها و بایەخی ئەو هەستە تێدەگەین کە ڕەنگە هەندێکتان هەست بکەن کە ناوەکە دەبوو بەناوی لقی هەرێمی کوردستان بووایە. کوردستان دڵی لقەکەمانە، و بە شانازییەوە پشتگیریی ئەو ١٠ بەشە زانکۆیە چالاکە دەکەین کە ڕۆژانە گەشە دەکەن و بەهێزتر دەبن لە پێناو خزمەتکردنی کۆمەڵگەی ئەندازیارانی نەوت. 🌟

بڕیاری پەسەندکردنی "باکوری عێراق" بڕیارێکی ستراتیژییە کە ڕێگەمان پێدەدات باشتر ئاوێتەبین لەگەڵ ئامانجەکانمان کە بریتین لە گشتگیری و هاوکاری کردنی سەرجەم ئەو بوارانەی کە خزمەتیان تێدا دەکەین. دەرگای نوێ بۆ هەماهەنگی ناوچەیی دەکاتەوە، لە هەمان کاتدا شوێن پێ و کاریگەریمان لە پیشەسازییەکەدا فراوانتر و بەهێزتر دەکات.

Course Highlights! 🌟

We’re excited to share the highlights of the “Geoscientists’ Role in Kurdistan's Oil and Gas Industry course”! Our first in-person event at the newly established SPE Salahaddin University - Erbil Chapter provided an excellent opportunity to learn about geoscience in the oil and gas industry through informative sessions and practical field experiences. 🚧 Special thanks to OilSERV for providing insightful information about the oil and gas service industry, as well as their mudlogging service, in which geologists play an important role. Huge appreciation to our Salahaddin University Chapter officers for their excellent organizing efforts that made this event a success, and congratulations to all participants for completing the course! 📜
