Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Directorate (GUR), told The War Zone that nearly 11,000 North Korean infantry troops are training in eastern Russia.

"They will be ready [to fight in Ukraine] on Nov. 1."

— He also mentioned that the first 2,600 soldiers will be sent to Kursk, where Ukraine has established a foothold.

According to Budanov, "The North Korean troops will be using Russian equipment and ammunition."

The full deployment plan is not clear, as Budanov admitted:

"We don't have the full picture right now."

— North Korea's involvement might lead South Korea to reconsider its policy of not providing direct military support to Ukraine. Victor Cha, a U.S. expert, stated:

"I would imagine, it would make President Yoon very upset, and who knows what he's going to do if he's really upset?"

The 92nd Division of the Ukrainian Army repelled a major Russian attack on the town of Kruglyakivka - Luhansk. The division was able to destroy dozens of Russian equipment, but they were able to enter the northern outskirts of the town.
