👻 Halloween in the movie and photography world 👻 

Hello Pictographs! This is Mr. Photonaut with you! 

🗯 Today I'm going to talk about how cinematography influenced the horror style in photography and how we can use these techniques to create spooky shots.

🎥 Alfred Hitchcock's “Psycho” - the play of light and shadow
This iconic movie showed how shadows can become a major element of horror. Shoot in minimal light to create deep shadows like in scenes from “Psycho”. This contrast will give your photos an ominous atmosphere where every detail can be frightening.

🪓 Stanley Kubrick's “The Shining” - fear through foreshortening
Kubrick was a master of creating tension through unconventional angles. Think of scenes with long corridors or close-ups of faces full of terror. In photography, use low or high camera angles to create an unsettling feeling and an effort to dramatize the frame.

🕸 Tim Burton's Gothic Motifs.
Tim Burton's films, such as Corpse Bride and Sleepy Hollow, inspire dark but visually appealing shots. Add gothic elements to your photos - silhouettes of trees, old houses or foggy backgrounds - and your shots will look like scenes from a gothic fairy tale.

🎃 Halloween: horror in the lens - how to take horror photography?  🎃

Hello Pictographs! This is Mr. Photonaut with you! 

Halloween is right around the corner, which means it's time to create spooky and atmospheric shots! If you want to add some horror to your photos, I have some tips on how to convey true horror through the lens.

🌑 Shadows and low light. Horror starts with the play of light and shadow. Use dim lighting - candles, lanterns, or dim lamps. Create contrasts that emphasize dark details. Shadows add mystery and mystery to the shot.

👁 Unusual angles. Experiment with angles by shooting from below or above to create a sense of unease. The more unconventional the perspective, the more drama you'll add. Try focusing on small details like eyes or hands to heighten the tension.

🧟‍♀️ Makeup and props. With a little bit of imagery creativity, your shoot becomes a true horror masterpiece. Add masks, makeup, costumes and props to your shoot to create a scary atmosphere. Cobwebs, dolls or old objects are perfect for macabre scenes.

The philosophy of pet portraits with Mr. Photonaut!

🧐 Today I got to thinking: what do photos of our pets mean to us? 

They are not just snapshots of furry friends - they are whole stories of love, loyalty and special moments. We photograph them in the simplest of situations, but these shots often convey more emotion than any other photo.

🐈 A pet portrait is always something personal. Through the photo we show our affection, and convey the character of a friend, whether it is a funny puppy or a wise cat. Have you ever thought about how your pet looks in the frame?
A soft gaze, a funny pose or maybe a moment of complete trust - it all makes a photo unique and touching.

🐕 Animal photos are a way to preserve moments that you want to relive over and over again. Think of looking at a photo of your pet napping on your lap or happily playing outside. Each image is a piece of everyday happiness that we capture so we never forget.
