π’ TBSS Update Released! π’
We have released a new version of TBSS today, which includes the following important updates:
1. Handling of the Upper Circuit Being Hit in Some of the Options Contracts:
- Entry Validation: π Added a validation to avoid entry if the option contract hits the upper circuit (UC) at the time of entry.
- Exit Management: π« If the UC is hit after entry, you may face issues while exiting. In such cases, you will need to manage that position manually.
- Exit Orders Configuration:
- π§ Recommend lowering the buffer percentage to 1-2% (not for hedges).
- β οΈ Sometimes, your trigger price might be below the circuit limit, but the limit price of the stop-loss (SL) order may exceed the circuit limit, causing order rejection.
- π If the order is rejected, the software will place a new order to exit when your SL hits, so you don't need to place any new order manually.
2. Addition of Order Splitting:
- π If you are trading quantities higher than the freeze limit, the software will automatically split the orders into multiple smaller orders. You don't need to create multiple strategies for this now.
3. Issue of Self-Trade for Prop Brokers:
- π Some users faced issues with exiting orders resulting in self-trades with partial execution. This will now be managed by the software.
- π We still recommend observing during market hours and checking if the software manages it correctly whenever a self-trade error occurs for a few days.
4. Addition of Sensex, Bankex, and Midcap Nifty Indexes:
- π All these indexes are now added. However, due to liquidity issues, we recommend using them wisely if you are aware of the liquidity constraints.
- Some brokers still don't allow BFO segment so check manually in broker terminal if the order gets placed for BFO or not.
5. UI Changes:
- We have split the main screen configurable parameters into four tabs now.

Here's the instruction on how to update the software:
1. If your software is closed, simply open it.
2. If it's already open, close it and start again.
3. After restarting, you will receive a pop-up message asking for the update.
4. Please proceed with the update by following the on-screen instructions.
Important Notes:
- Please update the software as soon as possible by restarting and load your strategy configuration file and verify few strategies to ensure that no parameters are changed/affected.
- Review all the global parameters if they are loaded properly, and if anything is changed, then please reconfigure the values.
