We have a clear market view today. We identified the support and resistance zones on the H1 timeframe.

We will wait for the nearest resistance zone, a fresh area on the H1 and H4 charts, to sell at @ 2738.

If the price breaks the closest support at @ 2730, we will continue selling until we reach the next breakout level at @ 2725.

There is still a high risk that gold may continue to rise and get a new ATH. For now, we should proceed with cautious scalping.

Gold trimmed early gains and hovers around $2,720 a troy ounce, as resurgent US Dollar demand weighs on the safe-haven metal. Resurgent US Treasury yields add to the picture as well as looming US elections.

The US Dollar gathered momentum alongside government bond yields as looming United States (US) elections fuel demand for safe-haven assets. According to the latest Washington Post poll, Donald Trump, the Republican candidate and Kamala Harris, the Democratic one, are still virtually tied in the seven key states.
