Shahid Sayyed Basel was the Ubiquitous Prince of the War Arena; the Traveling Titan; the Mouqawamist Mouhajir--NEVER meeting a battlefield assignment that he didn't love; relish; and succeed in.
He was present in many a critical op that led to the liberation of Lebanon in 2000.
And then, from there, he went to Iraq to help the people of the Fertile Crescent defeat the US-UK occupation. On Iraqi soil, he was known as the "Envoy" of Hajj Imad Mughniyeh (R.A.)
By 2006, he had given Mesopotamia's Mouqawameen all they needed to maintain [and prevail] on their own and was back in the Land of the Cedars, where he would go on to lead the 6-minute ambush of the Zionist occupiers in "Operation Truthful Promise".
A little more than half a decade after the Divine Victory, he was traversing both sides of the Syrian-Iraqi border, helping safeguard the holy shrines of Ahlul Bayt (A.S.) and battling the Takfiri terrorist scourge. In Syria in particular, his ingenious guerrilla tactics and immeasurable dauntlessless were the roots of numerous triumphs and he has been credited with being responsible for saving tens of thousands of moujahideen.
But there is nothing that stands out like his last destination before returning to Lebanon to fortify the Hajj Redwan Unit alongside Commanders Hajj Ibrahim Muhammad Aqeel (R.A.), Sayyed Fouad Ali Shukr (R.A.) and Wissam Hassan Taweel (R.A.) and ultimately playing a powerful role in Operation Al-Aqsa Flood... And that aforementioned destination... is Yemen.
Shoulder to shoulder with Hizbullah Commander Muhammad Hussein Srour (R.A.), better known as "Hajj Abou Saleh", Sayyed Basel helped train, arm and aid Ansarullah to counter the goyicidal war waged on the Yemeni people by the treacherous, US-Zionist-UK-backed House of Saud.
He was present amidst the game-changing battles in Hajjah, Hudaydah, Ma'rib, Al-Jawf, Saada and Sanaa. Yemenis themselves will readily and proudly tell you that his assistance proved pivotal in tipping the war-scales in Sarkha Nation's favor.
Sayyed Basel is considered an honorary citizen in Iraq; Syria; and Yemen. He is THAT beloved. When his martyrdom was announced 48 hours ago, brothers and sisters from every every nation rushed to give condolences and congratulations, but nobody knew where to deliver the salutations first!
Muhammadi might and Husseini heroics. From one end of our region to the next. And in his final moments, he departed to meet all his risen brothers on the same path each and every one of them were on: That of Al-Quds. In all that he did, he lived and died for Palestine. Now all those he empowered - Syrians, Iraqis, Yemenis, Palestinians, and of course, Lebanese - hold up the Standard and ensure the banner of the Resistance Eternal keeps flying. Striking Star Salute ๐ซ once more o' Commander... If only the sun shined as brightly as you did in your Jihad, the vampires of the bacterial infection called 'Israel' would've long been burnt to ash.
