What an unbelievably cancerous guy that LHY is, honestly: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1103561601127430&set=a.817671726383087

You may have seen this guy in the news. Today I explain what, likely, went wrong: https://vulcanpost.com/874317/nansen-ceo-singapore-pr-application-rejection-not-money-related

We know executive roles pay the best, but not everybody can be a C-level director. So, where can you make good money without ascending to the top of corporate hierarchy?

Here's a very robust dataset from Michael Page, listing a few hundred roles with average salaries, from which I picked those paying an average of five figures or more per month, in non-executive, professional roles.

Take a look to see how your pay compares and what you can target as a professional goal.

As we're entering the second week of the trial, here's a look at all the run-ins Pritam's defender had with the judge: https://critical.sg/five-times-pritams-defender-collided-with-the-judge-2

Aggressive defence, rookie mistakes, a few controversies and the paranoia in the Workers' Party 3 years ago that forced the party members to hide their phones: here's my summary of the first week of Pritam's trial!

Donald Low got himself in hot water for failing to understand what had actually transpired during the latest hearings in Pritam's case: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=1101158938034363&set=a.817671726383087

Sea is clawing back lost ground and is now (again) the 2nd largest company in Singapore by market capitalisation after gaining 157% this year.

One last comment of mine: what I think should happen to Oxley road house:

Now that Lee Wei Ling is no longer with us the question is - what happens to the house, which is under Lee Hsien Yang's complete control?

đź”´ It looks like Oxley drama may soon erupt with much greater force.
Given LHY's political sympathies, he surely must be tempted to use the house as a weapon in the coming election. And if he does, what could PAP do in response?

It has few good options. If it blocks demolition by gazetting the house, it would become a target of attacks. If it allows LHY to bulldoze it, however, it would look weak and inadvertently admit that he was right all along.

Lawrence Wong was surely hoping to contest the GE with a clean slate but he may soon have this mess to deal with.

So, what are his options?

Here's what I think about the Oxley house and what should be done with it.

First point: it's not up to the Lees to decide.

"It is quite ironic – though perhaps a sign of karma – that his best chance at escaping responsibility and getting back at Lee Hsien Loong was rendered impossible by strict laws made by his very own father."

Looks like I made a mistake: Important correction regarding my post about Iswaran's release: under Singapore's Conditional Remission System, an order for early release is typically issued after an inmate served 2/3s of his sentence, and is not applied for.
So, it is most likely that Iswaran will be released after 8 months, with the remaining 4 under CRO rules.

My apologies for the inaccuracy.

Critical Spectator

Some people suggested that Iswaran may have his sentence reduced, like most prisoners, for good behaviour. Here's why I think it might not happen.
