Celestia was successfully deployed to Mainnet Beta, codenamed Lemon Mint, marking the arrival of the first modular data availability network. Today marks a massive milestone for the Celestia community. What was once considered a wild moonshot is now a reality four years after the LazyLedger whitepaper was published

🔸Developers can soon deploy a high-throughput Orbit chain as easily as a smart contract using Celestia as modular DA. Celestia’s integration is the first external contribution to the Arbitrum Orbit protocol layer and the first modular DA layer for Orbit, joining Arbitrum AnyTrust. ⚡️

🎉CELESTIA IS READY TO LAUNCH 🎉

Celestia is on track to become the first modular data availability layer with data availability sampling (DAS) light nodes. Initially experimental, Celestia’s Mainnet Beta features will enable its use as a data availability and consensus layer for rollups.

🔸 Launch schedule
Between now and Mainnet Beta, the Celestia Foundation will coordinate with the genesis validators to collect their genesis transactions. Those transactions will be included in the genesis block collectively created by a decentralized validator set.

🔸Looking ahead
Once the genesis block is finalized by the validator set through consensus, Celestia’s Mainnet Beta network will be live. Mainnet Beta is expected soon. 🔥
