Often find myself backing Giron, not sure if the market underrates him or I have him ranked too high but time will tell. I donβt have him being the underdog or to this extent. His game is so effective in quick low bouncing conditions such as Antwerp. He has a very flat style and can hit off both wings nicely. Bergs certainly has more power and itβs a home event, but he isnβt consistent enough at this level and thatβs pretty clear. Loads of talent, but fails to put it all together. Giron is yet to be broken and faced only 1 bp chance. He has been clean and smashed Botic and then got past a tricky match with Rinderknech. Bergs on the other hand has faced Diaz Acosta and Baez, two pure clay courters and the level wasnβt great. Against Baez he had 26-43 winners to unforced errors. That wonβt cut it against Giron. This is a clear bet to me. Letβs see how it plays out.
