Pretty good match quality match here for a Challenger Final. Cazaux should be shorter in my books, has the bigger weapons and has been playing well this week although against lower quality. I like the match up for him if he plays smart aggressive tennis. The conditions are very quick and the weather is hot. Both should hold serve pretty routinely and these odds for a first set tiebreak are way too big. Cazaux has a big serve and doesn’t always return well, whilst McDonald has a decent service game himself with a flatter style.

Often find myself backing Giron, not sure if the market underrates him or I have him ranked too high but time will tell. I don’t have him being the underdog or to this extent. His game is so effective in quick low bouncing conditions such as Antwerp. He has a very flat style and can hit off both wings nicely. Bergs certainly has more power and it’s a home event, but he isn’t consistent enough at this level and that’s pretty clear. Loads of talent, but fails to put it all together. Giron is yet to be broken and faced only 1 bp chance. He has been clean and smashed Botic and then got past a tricky match with Rinderknech. Bergs on the other hand has faced Diaz Acosta and Baez, two pure clay courters and the level wasn’t great. Against Baez he had 26-43 winners to unforced errors. That won’t cut it against Giron. This is a clear bet to me. Let’s see how it plays out.

The conditions are perfect for his flat early ball striking. He comfortably put away Diallo about 2 weeks ago, I think the match up is terrible for Diallo with how early and flat McDonald plays.
