Congratulations to those who have got through to the interviews.
It is important to keep your head low and work ahead. You can't afford to mess this up as it will determine your service ultimately.
For those who could not get through, I sincerely believe if one has to fail in this exam, then it should not be later than the mains, for it gives you still enough time to grieve, weep and dust yourself up; trust me after failing at the interview it would be much more difficult to gather yourself up and prepare for the prelims. I know that it is easier said than done, but having been in this situation a few times, I feel I do have some insight on this.
If you have a Plan B to execute at this juncture, make a Balance Sheet and evaluate the pros and cons on it and stick true to yourself and your capabilities in this process, for you alone know where you stand and how close or far you are from the finish line. Although at this time you might tend to err on the side of pessimism since you have just suffered a blow to your aspirations. IMHO unless the Plan B doesn't provide significant advantage over your current plan and you are in a position to continue it unhindered due to your financial position, convince yourself to continue in this.
(Sidhe bhasha mein agar paise ki dikkat nhi hai aur koi dusra bahut explicitly advantageous option nhi hai, toh tayyari jaari rakhein.)
Try talking to your parents or peers who are close to you and don't sulk about for more than a week or so. Time is the most precious commodity always.
Remember failures are an opportunity to introspect and realign yourself to success, use it wisely.
